Joey Swerdlin (he/him) is in pursuit of architectural happiness.

Joey is director at Morpholio where he focuses on brand identity, social media strategy, app design, and community support. He is the founder of Sitting Alone, a creative design practice and a leader of Group Project, an architecture and urban design collaborative.

Joey studied architecture at the University at Buffalo and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has worked at a range of architectural practices including Storefront for Art and ArchitectureAnts of the Prairie/Joyce Hwang, Liminal Projects, CLOGOFFICE Kersten Geers David van SeverenRichard Meier and Partners, and WOJR: Organization for Architecture. He has taught architecture workshops at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and The Institute for Architecture and Urban Studies, was an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Architecture at the University at Buffalo, and most recently a seminar coach at NuVu: The Innovation School. Joey has presented work at University at Buffalo, MIT, UPenn, and the Architectural League of New York and been an invited critic at University at Buffalo, MIT, Pratt Institute, Columbia GSAPP, and UPenn.
