A Series of Studies and a Model for WOJR

Parallel to the design of Mask House–a residence in the woods for a grieving brother, hidden from the world by a mask facade–a series of studies of maskness and architectural representation were undertaken. This resulted in a meticulous drawing and model making exercise to find a crafted, visual language for representing tree bark. In addition, a 6’ x 6’ x 4’ 1/4”= 1'-0” model was hand-crafted with wood and steel.
