Joey Swerdlin (he/him) is in pursuit of architectural happiness.
Joey is the first employee and current Product Marketing Manager at Morpholio where he oversees product design, marketing, brand strategy, customer success, education, and support. He is the founder of Sitting Alone, a creative practice focused on chairs and co-founder of Very Nice Wood, a wood-centered design practice. He also was a leader of Group Project, an architecture and urban design collaborative.
Joey studied architecture at the University at Buffalo and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has worked at a range of architectural practices including Storefront for Art and Architecture, Ants of the Prairie/Joyce Hwang, Liminal Projects, CLOG, OFFICE Kersten Geers David van Severen, Richard Meier and Partners, and WOJR: Organization for Architecture. He has taught architecture workshops at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and The Institute for Architecture and Urban Studies, was an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Architecture at the University at Buffalo, and most recently a seminar coach at NuVu: The Innovation School. Joey has presented work at University at Buffalo, MIT, UPenn, and the Architectural League of New York and been an invited critic at University at Buffalo, MIT, Pratt Institute, Columbia GSAPP, and UPenn.
